Last week, mentors brought their mentees to Downtown Minneapolis to meet with Justin Bedford – Owner of Cardigan Donuts for an insightful discussion about entrepreneurship. A number of our mentees who attended are or would like to start businesses of their own. Justin began his career as an accountant, but decided to take a leap and opened Cardigan Donuts in 2010. He shared with them his journey as an entrepreneur, the dedication it takes, the challenges he’s faced, and what he’s learned in building a strong successful brand.

Mentees came prepared with questions about how Justin operates his business, why he decided to become an entrepreneur, and what strategies that he uses to be successful. In turn, Justin asked the mentees about their own brands, their business plans, what tools they use to pass on knowledge he’s learned to help the mentees in their own entrepreneurial journey.
